Many nations, who migrated to Uruguay in different moments of history to become part of the cosmopolitan population of this country, have established well-defined communities. It is our belief that the Irish community in Uruguay should not be an exception. The main purpose then is to gather the Irish community in Uruguay, to foster its culture and the exchange of common interests, enlarging the existing bonds between the community here and the place of birth of our elders. This should develop through the stories, experiences and queries that each one of us is willing to share. Personally we are "kicking-off" this project hoping it will evolve positively. The rest is up to you… My name is Conrad C. O'Neill Malcolm and I am Uruguayan. My great grandparents Thomas Ward Watson and Mary Draper Colman and my great great grandfather Owen O'Neill O'Brien were Irish. Be welcome !
